Fish diet may help ward off Alzheimer's
Mar. 23 (ABC7) — Doctors have come up with another reason to make fish a regular part of your diet.
Researchers at the UCLA School of Medicine say diets that are high in omega-3 fatty acids may help ward off Alzheimer's disease.
Fish such as mackerel, sardines, and salmon contain lots of omega-3's. An estimated four-and-a-half-million Americans suffer of Alzheimer's, which destroys memory and many brain functions.
The study is published in the Journal of Neuroscience.
